Nashua Man Charged With Spree Of Commercial Burglaries In City
Nashua police have charged a man with burglarizing eight different downtown businesses in a three-week period.
This comes a week after police met with city officials to address a recent uptick in crime.
Police say 27-year-old Calvin Degreenia’s spree began on August 19.
By early September, they say he hit eight downtown businesses in total, two of them twice.
Police arrested Degreenia on September 6th in connection to a burglary at Fody’s Tavern.
Then the department’s burglary unit was able to connect him to the other crimes.
Police say each of the burglaries occurred overnight and the suspect primarily stole cash.
The department’s burglary unit is looking into other recent break-ins.
Police say between August 17 and Sept 6, there were 23 commercial burglaries in the downtown area.
