Nashua's New Identity: 'Dare To Begin'

City of Nashua

The city of Nashua has unveiled its new slogan: “Dare to Begin.”

Around 200 people gathered for the unveiling at an event along the bank of the Nashua River Wednesday night.

Mayor Donnalee Lozeau says the city’s new tagline and logo are meant to pay tribute to the city’s past and current visionaries, while also looking ahead to new ventures.

“Beginning doesn’t mean that you haven’t been here. It means that there’s so much more that can be done.”

The city’s rebranding is the result of a public-private partnership.

A new logo was also unveiled Thursday night.

The city invested $50,000 into the project, while the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce raised another $60,000 from private companies and organizations.

Chamber President Chris Williams says the kind of partnership sends a strong message.

“The message that this sends to outside businesses and prospective workers and residents is huge. It’s powerful,” Williams said. “It tells them that they can count on Nashua as being a place where both the public and the private sectors work together to serve their needs.”

The chamber also unveiled a new logo, matching the city’s design.

The project was more than a year in the making.
