Navy Could Be Shifting Focus of Shipyard Fire Investigation

Yesterday New Hampshire’s US Senators, Jeanne Shaheen and Kelly Ayotte, honored the first responders to the massive fire at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard that caused hundreds of millions of dollars in damage to the USS Miami nuclear submarine.

Reporter Deborah McDermott has been covering the aftermath of the fire for Seacoast Online. She tells All Things Considered host Brady Carlson about the apparent changes in the Navy's investigation, which suggest there may be links between the large May 23rd blaze and a second, smaller fire a few weeks later.
