New Hampshire Slow To Educate On Health Care Law

New Hampshire still hasn't hired anyone to advertise the federal health care overhaul law in the state, but officials say that's not necessarily a bad thing, and the state isn't alone.

New Hampshire Health Plan director Michael Degnan says it would have been helpful to have a New Hampshire-specific advertising campaign and outreach plan in place before enrollment began Oct. 1, but there are benefits to waiting. He says New Hampshire can learn from the experience of other states and wait until changes have been made to the federal government's problem-plagued health insurance website.

Some states that are also in partnerships with the federal government have launched websites and marketing campaigns, while others are closer to New Hampshire's experience.
