N.H. DOS Makes Changes To Concealed Carry Application

New Hampshire's Department of Safety has made changes to the state's concealed carry gun license application for the second time in two months, following complaints from gun rights groups over some of the questions.

The Concord Monitor reportsthe department first made changes to the application form in August, in response to a superior court decision and general suggestions.

Three questions were added asking whether an applicant had held a resident gun license before; whether a state or federal agency had previously claimed the applicant was prohibited from possessing a firearm; and whether the applicant is prohibited by federal law from possessing a firearm.

In response to the complaints that the questions were too vague, the questions were removed and the prior form was reissued on Sept. 10.
