A victorious Maggie Hassan took the stage on Tuesday night to accept the state’s corner office. She began by thanking voters for their trust – then launched into some specifics. "We will build a New Hampshire that will nurture innovation and entrepreneurs," Hassan said, "where businesses can and want to grow. Where young people will stay and work and create their own companies."
Meanwhile, Ovide Lamontagne couldn’t hide his disappointment as he conceded race to Maggie Hassan last night. "I’m disappointed in the way this night ended after weeks of those negative attack ads, distorting you, and me," Lamontagne told the audience, saying that he and his wife would spend the next few weeks transitioning back into private life, and wishing Maggie Hassan well as Governor.
