N.H. Man Up For Congressional Medal Of Honor Service Award

A New Hampshire man is up for a national service award.

Paul Moore of Bedford is one of 23 finalists for the Congressional Medal of Honor’s Citizen Service Before Self Honors. The finalists were announced Monday.

Moore founded the nonprofit organization Moore Mart in 2004. Through volunteer efforts, Moore Mart has shipped more than 50 thousand care packages to military personnel, schools and orphanages in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The finalists enter the next phase of judging. Next month, the four recipients will be named and receive their award at a ceremony held at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
