NH Man Who Killed Parents Earns Conditional Parole

A 31-year-old New Hampshire man who has spent more than half his life in prison for killing his parents when he was 14 can be freed if he completes counseling and learns the skills he'll need to return to society.

Jeffrey Dingman and his 17-year-old brother, Robert, killed their parents in Rochester in 1996.

The younger brother was granted conditional parole today. The parole board says he can be freed once he completes the necessary steps.

Jeffrey was the star witness against his brother, testifying that they shot their parents as they arrived home from work on a Friday. The boys hid the bodies and partied with friends over the weekend.

Robert Dingman is serving a life sentence for first-degree murder and conspiracy.
