NHPR iPhone App Support

All your favorite NHPR content is now available through your iPhone/iPod Touch! This guide will walk you through the app's features; if you have any additional questions, please let us know through our online contact form and we'll do our best to help!

Installing the app

Go to the App Store and search under "NHPR" or "New Hampshire Public Radio." Follow the on-screen instructions to install. 

Using the app

The NHPR iPhone app has four main features: Listen Live, On Demand, News and Donate.

Listen Live

The live stream is accessible on all screens

Launching the app will automatically launch the news tabs.

Controls: You can pause and restart the live stream using the grey button at the top of the screen. The player acts like a radio rather than a buffered stream - if you hit stop, the player will pick up from what's on the live stream at that moment, instead of picking up where you left off. 

You can raise or lower the volume through the volume bar to the right of the listen icon.

On Demand

Listen back to past stories and shows by selecting the On Demand button. You can browse by program, topic, or blogs; once you've made a selection, just use the Play buttons on each show or story to start the audio.

You can also find more information by clicking on the show or story's title, which takes you to the corresponding page on NHPR.org.

News

The NHPR iPhone app features the latest coverage from NHPR's newsroom, as well as NPR and StateImpact NH. Click on the News tab to access all three news types and browse through stories. Click on any story title to find more information on NHPR.org.

You can also share news stories through the app. Click the "share" button next to each story to begin. The app will recognize the social networks you use, if you've entered them in your iPhone.

Donate

Support the NHPR iPhone app, and NHPR's news and information service, by making a donation.

Click the "Donate Now" button to make a donation by phone or by text-to-give. Or enter your e-mail address into the "Donation Reminder" box to make an online donation later. 

The About Us button takes you to a page with information about NHPR and the NHPR iPhone app. It also includes contact information so you can get in touch with the station!
