Police: Former Fortune 500 Executive Intentionally Caused Fatal Crash

New Hampshire prosecutors say a former Fortune 500 executive who caused a crash that killed a Vermont couple told investigators he was attempting to kill himself.

Fifty-three-year-old Robert Dellinger, of Sunapee, is charged with two counts of reckless manslaughter in the deaths of 29-year-old Jason Timmons and 24-year-old Amanda Murphy, who was eight months pregnant.

Prosecutors say Dellinger's truck crossed the median on Interstate 89, became airborne and sheared off the top of the couple's car, killing them instantly.

Prosecutors want $250,000 cash bail and electronic monitoring, calling him a flight risk.

Dellinger's lawyer said he would seek mental health treatment if released on reasonable bail.

Dellinger served as senior vice president at PPG Industries Inc. and has held top level posts at Sprint Corp., Delphi Corp. and General Electric Co.
