Post-Trial, St. Paul's Prep School to Host Conference on Relationships in the Digital Age

Feb 24, 2016

St. Paul’s School in Concord will host a three-day conference this spring examining the impact of technology on student relationships at boarding schools.

The event comes less than a year after a graduate of the school was convicted of having sex with an underage girl, a fellow student, having courted her online as part of a so-called senior tradition. The student, Owen Labrie of Vermont, was sentenced to a year in county jail but is currently on house arrest while he appeals the conviction.

The conference will showcase five speakers, and will offer discussions and work sessions. Speakers include experts on the effect of social media on teens, and will examine how young people can build healthy relationships in the digital age.
