The New Hampshire Association of Realtors reports that residential real estate sales and prices are on the rebound in The Seacoast Region.

Realtors selling single family homes and condominiums in the 13 Seacoast cities and towns received that upbeat news at a breakfast forum in Greenland.  John Rice, former President of the New Hampshire Association of Realtors pointed to an uptick in business since the low point of sales in 2009.  He also pointed out that the nearly 1 thousand homes sold in the region in 2012 represented a more than 30 percent increase over the previous year.  And, he told members of the Seacoast Board of Realtors that 2013 is off to a good start.

"Already we have an increase of 9.2 per in volume from 2012, and the median price of a single family home rose 6.82 per from last year to $313 thousand."

Rice also pointed out that the Seacoast region is at a three year low of available homes for sale.  Single family homes on the market are off 25 per cent from 2011, and condominium units are down more than 16 per cent.  At the same time, he conceded that prices remain relatively flat on a year to year basis.<
