Rockingham County Prosecutor Charged With Drug Possession

New Hampshire officials say they have charged a Rockingham County prosecutor with drug possession.

Attorney General Joseph Foster says 29-year-old Zachary Cross was charged with possession of Oxycodone.

Cross was arrested Tuesday — the same day that embattled Rockingham County Attorney James Reams resigned in the midst of a bid by Foster to remove him from office.

Cross posted $2,500 cash bail and is due in Manchester District Court July 14.

He was not at the county attorney's office Tuesday.

It was not immediately known whether Cross has a lawyer.
