Starting April 7, NHPR listeners can enjoy a new take on the week’s news, courtesy of “It’s Been a Minute with Sam Sanders.”
The show initially launched in June 2017 as a twice-weekly podcast; it’s since expanded to a one-hour weekly radio program format. Part news analysis, part pop culture dive – each weekly conversation looks back at the most timely topics of the week, interviewing newsmakers, journalists, tastemakers and listeners for a casual, approachable dialogue.
Before coming to NPR, Host Sam Sanders spent time at WUNC in North Carolina; Oregon Public Broadcasting; and WBUR in Boston.
He worked as a field producer and breaking news reporter at NPR, including as a co-host of the NPR Politics Podcast and his most recent stint as part of NPR’s election unit. He recently relocated to NPR West in Los Angeles: read more about his personal and professional journey here.
It’s Been A Minute with Sam Sanders replaces The Big Listen in the Saturday night NHPR lineup at 9 p.m. Earlier this year, show producer WAMU announced it was ceasing production on The Big Listen. More details here.
