Roughly 5,000 Public Service of New Hampshire customers remain without power following last night’s snow storm.
PSNH spokesman Mike Skelton says those outages are contained primarily to the central and western parts of the state.
He says crews have been working to restore power throughout the night.
“We’ve actually been moving crews from the southern part of the state over to that western central part of the state reallocating resources so that we can restore power more quickly and more efficiently. And we’ll continue to do that throughout the day depending on what areas need the most attention.”
Skelton says as the snow melts, that could lead to additional outages throughout the day.

And New Hampshire Electric Cooperative spokesman Seth Wheelers says crews are working to restore power to roughly 1,100 of its customers, mainly in Orford, Charlestown and Unity.
“We expect to be fully restored by nightfall, however there is a good chance there will be continuing outages throughout the day as trees and branches shed their snow load and the branches will rebound and often make contact with the wires.”
He says 8,000 customers were without power at the height of the storm, around midnight.
