Ahead of a scheduled joint appearance by Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders in New Hampshire, Senator Jeanne Shaheen says she’s pleased that the FBI’s investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server has come to a close.

Speaking to reporters in Lee, Senator Jeanne Shaheen said she is looking forward to the expected endorsement of Hillary Clinton by former rival Bernie Sanders at an event tomorrow in Portsmouth.

Shaheen was also asked about FBI Director James Comey’s comments regarding Clinton’s use of a private email server while Secretary of State.

“I think the important thing from what the FBI director had to say was that there was not the kind of wrongdoing that her opponents have accused her of. He basically said there was nothing there and it’s time to move on.”

While Comey did not recommend criminal charges be brought against Clinton, he did call her behavior regarding the email server extremely careless.
