A Modern Writer Tries to Preserve the Past

Nicholson Baker is known for controversial novels like ?Vox? and ?The Fermata.? But these days, he?s battling to save old paper. He says major libraries are destroying part of our history, by replacing old books and newspapers, with microfilm. He?s saved some old papers in a warehouse in Rollinsford, and he?s written a book, Double Fold, about his fight.
