Stone Walls

By Laura Knoy on Friday, October 19, 2001.

Ever go for a walk in the woods of New Hampshire and stumble upon an old stone wall? You may envision a time when that wooded area was a field full of grazing sheep or a sprawling orchard. New Hampshire writer and public radio producer, Kevin Gardner explores the stories stone walls tell us about a past gone by. Also, how to create new stone walls in the tradition of that time. Laura talks with Gardner about his new book is "Granite Kiss: Traditions and Techniques of Building New England's Stone Walls".
