Mark Noel, of Hanover, is a former Eagle Scout and former Scoutmaster. He first joined the Scouts in 1980, but his membership was revoked after he publicly ?outed? himself as a gay man last year. Now he?s trying to persuade the Boy Scouts of America to reverse its policy against homosexuality. He talks with John about growing up in gay in the Deep South, keeping his sexuality secret while he worked in law enforcement in Georgia, and why he?s so determined to change the BSA.
