I saw this on the New Hampshire Public Radio Web Site

Neal Conan

By Laura Knoy on Friday, October 18, 2002.

He's currently the host of NPR's "Talk of the Nation," but at one time or another has worked on just about every show produced by NPR News. While covering unfolding events of the Gulf War in 1991, he was held hostage by the Iraqi Republican Guard. We'll talk to him about that, and about his recent stint as a minor league baseball announcer. That's the topic of his new book, "Play By Play: Baseball, Radio and Life in the Last Chance League." www.randomhouse.com/crown & www.npr.org
