Plymouth State Drops SAT And ACT Scores For Applicants

Students applying to Plymouth State University will no longer be required to submit SAT and ACT scores.

The University has decided to step away from the standardized tests, and put more emphasis on a student's high school GPA. Andrew Palumbo, Plymouth's Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management, says the GPA is simply a better measure of how prepared a student is for college.

Philanthropy Class Attains Real Donation Fund

Last semester, students attending a course on philanthropy at University of Pennsylvania’s Urban Studies Department were given one-hundred thousand dollars to dispense to area non-profits.  Yesterday, Virginia Prescott caught up with Doug Bauer, Executive Director at the Clark Foundation – who co-teaches the course alongside Greg Goldman, Vice President of Development at the non-profit Philadelphia Zoo.
