Abby Goldstein
Program Director
Abby began her career in public radio in 1986 at KVLU in Beaumont, Texas, where her mother was the Membership Director. She worked in television, advertising and commercial radio in Beaumont before moving to Dallas in 1989 to work at KERA 90.1, where she hosted Afternoon Music until 1995. Abby then spent a few years developing her radio skills at numerous radio stations such as WXPN in Philadelphia and 93.3 The Zone in Dallas. She was also an independent record promoter, a booking agent, festival producer and host of Texas music specialty programs. In 2000, Abby returned to KERA 90.1 as the Program Director and in May 2006, Abby took the reins as Program Director at NHPR, where she manages the Programming Division. She was recently elected to the Board of Directors of Public Radio Program Directors, Inc, where she will help guide national research and further the education and professional development of program directors nationwide.
