As Executive Editor, Jon oversees coverage of major issues and directs other special efforts as well as reporting. Recent projects include the Interactive Town Meeting Map and Primary Place, a co-production with NPR. He is a nationally recognized innovator in radio-web integration. Prior to coming to New Hampshire, he was a Washington reporter at NPR; his investigative work from that time appeared in the Washington Post. He has degrees from Johns Hopkins University, Syracuse University and the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. His awards include RTNDA Unity Award 2006, Society of Professional Journalists (Investigative Journalism 2004), Public Radio News Directors Association (2004 – First Place), National Edward R. Murrow Award for New Media (2003,05,06), the James K. Batten Award for Civic Journalism (2000), numerous Associated Press awards, and a Fulbright Scholarship in 1996-97 that took him to Romania. He is married and has two children.
