Our 9 month series, New Hampshire's Immigration Story explored just that... the vast history of who came to New Hampshire, when they came, why they came, the challenges they faced once they landed on Granite State soil and the contributions that they brought to our state. The Exchange, Word of Mouth, and our News Department looked at the issue of immigration from its first arrivals to the newest refugees calling New Hampshire home.We saw how immigration affects our economy, health care, education system, culture and our current system of law. Updated: Border Patrol Checkpoint Set Up Once Again On I-93 In N.H., 5 Arrests Made

Travelers on Interstate 93 near Woodstock encountered another Border Patrol Checkpoint between June 15 - June 17.

The U.S. Border Patrol confirmed Tuesday afternoon that it made a total of five arrests for people who "did not have legal immigration status."

People arrested during the operation were from Mexico, El Salvador, China, Ecuador and Brazil, the agency said in a statement.

This comes after a Memorial Day weekend checkpoint in the same area, which netted 17 arrests.

Earlier this month the ACLU of New Hampshire obtained emails between law enforcement officials which show that there are some six checkpoints planned this year.
