Can A Role-Playing Game Change How People Look At Health Issues?

Courtesy Tiltfactor

Some of the most thought-provoking research into how we think about health care is going on at Dartmouth College – and it’s coming out of a game design lab.

The role-playing game RePlay Health uses physical challenges to get players to think about how environmental and economic factors, among others, can affect individual health.

It was developed at the Tiltfactor game research lab at Dartmouth College. Founding director and Fairchild Chair in Digital Humanities Mary Flanagan joined Weekend Edition with more on the project.
