Is Canada Slipping Into Recession?

Canada made it through the economic troubles of 2008 virtually unscathed. Now, its good fortune might be running out. The economy contracted for two quarters in a row, but the Bank of Canada governor has resisted using the word recession.

Here & Now‘s Meghna Chakrabarti speaks with Peter Armstrong of the CBC about whether or not Canada is actually in a recession, and how the country’s upcoming election might be driving the economic debate.
