The families of a Vermont couple killed when a former Fortune 500 executive crashed his pickup truck into their SUV on a New Hampshire highway have settled lawsuits related to the crash.
Robert Dellinger was an executive at PPG Industries Inc. in Pittsburgh who held top positions at Sprint Corp., Delphi Corp. and General Electric Co. The 55-year-old pleaded guilty and was sentenced last year to between nine and 20 years in prison.
Prosecutors say Dellinger was trying to kill himself when he drove his pickup truck across a highway median in Lebanon at more than 100 mph and smashed into the SUV, killing 29-year-old Jason Timmons and 24-year-old Amanda Murphy, who was eight months pregnant.
Timmons and Murphy were from Wilder, Vermont.
The Valley News reports terms of the settlement aren't being disclosed.
