A New Hampshire man is set to learn his sentence for causing the crash that killed a Vermont couple and their unborn fetus.
The second day of Robert Dellinger's sentencing hearing is expected to wrap up Thursday.
Prosecutors have said the 54-year-old Dellinger told investigators he was trying to kill himself in December 2013 when he drove his pickup truck across a highway median at more than 100 mph and smashed into an SUV.
The crash killed 24-year-old Amanda Murphy, who was eight months pregnant, and her fiance, 29-year-old Jason Timmons.
The Valley News of Lebanon reported that Dellinger, a former Fortune 500 executive, told the court Wednesday he wasn't suicidal.
Dellinger pleaded guilty to negligent homicide and assault.
He faces 12 to 24 years in prison. Defense lawyers want a shorter sentence.
