Gov. Hassan Says 166 N.H. Businesses Awarded R&D Tax Credit

The state has awarded 166 New Hampshire companies research and development tax credits for 2014.

The Department of Revenue Administration reports that about 40 percent of them went to small businesses.

The R&D tax credit was initially intended to expire after five-years, but making the credit permanent and doubling available funds from $1 million to $2 million had strong bipartisan support in the legislature.

Last March, Governor Maggie Hassan signed the bill into law.
