A Look Inside NHPR's March 'Fun' Drive
Yesterday, the NHPR team put the finishing touches on setting up Pledge Central, the location where about twenty volunteers and a handful of staff will sit and answer your calls and log your donations throughout the March Fund Drive. NHPR's fundraising success would not be possible without the two hundred volunteers who donate their time to assist in our year-long effort.
In addition to raising support for Granite Staters' beloved-and only-statewide public radio service, food is the other drive-time highlight around the station.
Every morning, we pick up a delicious spread of donated bagels and muffins from the The Works on Main Street in Concord. Lunches and dinners of pizza, burritos, Italian fare and more, steam into our catering kitchen, nourishing our hard-working volunteers and on-air fundraising crew. (Check NHPR's facebook wall for photos and links of the tasty and generously-donated meals that fill our bellies throughout this drive)
So today, March 7, we begin the March Fund Drive with a Jump Start Challenge, a push to raise $120,000 by 7 p.m. When you help us meet this challenge, NHPR will receive and additional $12,000 toward the overall goal. We are on a mission to shorten this drive, (despite the food) and meeting the Jump Start Challenge will put us on track to do so!
And don't forget that when you give early, you'll be entered to win all subsequent drawings. You could win an iPad 2, a trip for two to Washington DC or Mills Falls, and 50,000 frequent flyer miles. But most of all, you will be helping to secure NHPR's future and ability to provide the programs, news and information you've come to depend on.
NHPR thanks you!
