Today marks the 42nd anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the U.S. Supreme Court ruling that overturned state laws banning abortion. But the issue of abortion is still hotly debated.
Iowa is one of a handful states that expanded abortion access in recent years. That’s thanks to telemedicine, which connects doctors and patients remotely through video conferencing.
But as Iowa Public Radio’s Sarah Boden reports, the use of telemedicine for abortions is being challenged.
