The New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission is set to review a proposal to provide natural gas to customers in Hanover and Lebanon through a pipeline.
The Valley News reports if the proposal is approved this month, the franchise petition would grant Valley Green Natural Gas authority to provide regulated natural gas service in the two municipalities.
Gulf Oil Limited Partnership would truck liquefied natural gas from the Marcellus shale formation in Pennsylvania to part of a property owned by Valley Green's president, Jay Campion, in Lebanon.
The gas would be stored in tanks, converted to compressed natural gas and delivered to customers through an underground pipe system.
Officials said in May they hope to begin service in the winter of 2016-2017.
The pre-hearing conference is set for July 28.
