New Hampshire Film Festival Begins This Week

The 12th annual New Hampshire Film Festival will run from Thursday through Sunday this week at venues throughout Portsmouth. There will be question and answer sessions for audience members and workshops for filmmakers alongside the screenings of independent films. Nicole Gregg is the executive director of the New Hampshire Film festival. She says there are too many films showing to choose favorites.

This year we have 102 films, so we are pretty excited about all of them, but some of our highlights are on Thurs, Mike O’Malley’s film called Certainty; on Friday night we have the NH premier of Celeste and Jesse forever starring Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg; and Austin Chick's Girls Against Boys on Saturday night.

In addition to indie hits like Celeste and Jesse Forever, films by New Hampshire filmmakers and about New Hampshire subjects will also be featured throughout the festival. More information about the New Hampshire Film Festival is available at www.nhfilmfestival.com
