The New Hampshire Department of Fish and Game's "Let's Go Fishing" program is seeking volunteer instructors to teach ice fishing, fly fishing or basic fishing to youth and adults.

Those interested are required to take free training sessions to become certified as an instructor.

Volunteers need to take an overview training session and at least one specialty training class. The sessions cover ethics, pond ecology, rules and regulations, and equipment and safety.

The first half of the two-part certification training is on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Fish and Game headquarters in Concord.

Ice fishing is scheduled for Dec. 14, basic fishing for Jan. 10 and fly fishing for Jan. 11 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at headquarters.
