'Planned Parenthood Votes' Targets Ayotte With TV Ad

Excerpted from Planned Parenthood Votes Ad

A political action committee affiliated with Planned Parenthood is spending $400,000 to target Kelly Ayotte in its first TV ad focused on 2016 Senate races.

The Planned Parenthood Votes ad highlights Kelly Ayotte’s opposition to holding hearings for Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland.

“For months Senator Kelly Ayotte has followed party bosses, refusing to fill Supreme Court vacancies.”

And features Ayotte talking about limiting abortion rights during her first run for Senate, in 2010.

“Well, I certainly think that Roe should be overturned but I think that has to be done in the United States Supreme Court.”

Kelly Ayotte’s campaign derided the ad as another attack by “Governor Hassan’s Washington allies.” Last month a super PAC affiliated with Senate minority leader Harry Reid spent a million dollars on ads criticizing Ayotte’s stance on Merrick Garland.
