Seabrook Representative Dies Following Battle With Brain Cancer

State Representative Amy Perkins of Seabrook died this morning after being diagnosed with brain cancer more than a year ago.

The Republican lawmaker was 43 and was serving her second term.

Senator Nancy Stiles of Hampton described Perkins as an outstanding representative for her community.

“She is dedicated and committed to every single one of her constituents in that community and fights hard for them. And she has been so tough and so strong during this whole thing. She has done her very best not to give into it.”

Perkins served as a member of the legislative administration committee.

Her husband Lawrence Perkins, the deputy fire chief in Seabrook, is also a state representative.
