A rare summer storm system has been dumping rain on Southern California. July is normally the driest month of the year, but the remnants of a tropical storm off Baja have brought heavy rainfall and thunderstorms to the region.
The rain is welcome while the state is dealing with years of drought, but it has also caused some problems, including power outages, flash floods and washed-out roads. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim game was rained out for the first time in 20 years.
