This weekend in Manchester, New Hampshire’s own ‘Free State Project’ will hold its yearly convention. We sit down with Liberty Forum speaker David Boaz of the CATO Institute, to check in on this galvanized political movement.

Guest:

  • David Boaz: executive vice president of the Cato Institute. He will speak at the Free State Project's Liberty Forum this weekend. His new book is 'The Libertarian Mind.'

The New Hampshire Civil Liberties has filed a lawsuit in federal court that challenges a new state law limiting the time political parties have to collect signatures to get on the ballot.

The organization filed the lawsuit on behalf of the libertarian party.

State law now requires that political organizations collect the signatures they need in the year of the election.

A new film looks at the Free State Project from the perspective of several activists. The Free State Project chose New Hampshire as its destination about ten years ago.  The goal was to convince twenty thousand people, seeking limited government and greater personal freedom, to move here. We’ll look at the movie and at this movement and find out how it’s evolved and affected the Granite State.

Christina Heller - Independent filmmaker who directed the movie "Libertopia".
